Accessibility of the VAT control procedure
In view of the current situation we would like to point out that the BZSt has adapted its organisational procedures. Until further notice, the hotline of the VAT control procedure 0228-406-1222 can only be used to make enquiries for confirmation of a foreign VAT identification number. You can reach us from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 3 pm. However, confirmation requests can be made at any time using the corresponding request form on the Internet or the XML-RPC interface.
All other questions and applications should be made exclusively via the contact forms available on the Internet. Please do not send us letters, as there may be long waiting times for incoming mail.
