Fraud e-mails in the name of the BZSt
For some time now, fraudsters have been trying to obtain information from taxpayers by e-mail.
They pretend to be the "Bundeszentralamt für Steuern" (Federal Central Tax Office) via e-mail and claim that the citizens concerned can obtain further information on a tax refund via a link in the fraud e-mail.
The Federal Central Tax Office expressly warns against responding to this scam e-mail or opening the link in the e-mail.
